At Eyes Open Media, we are embarking on a crucial journey with Welsh climate change charity, Size of Wales, towards becoming a deforestation-free business. Recognising the urgent need to address environmental challenges, we are committed to making sustainable choices that protect and preserve our planet for future generations.
Inspired by the insights provided in the "Size of Wales Deforestation Free BusinessToolkit," we are taking proactive steps to ethically reduce our social and environmental impact. This comprehensive resource has equipped us with valuable knowledge and strategies to combat deforestation effectively reducing our tropical forest footprint' (Seriously take a look, it’s very good).
Our pledge to sustainability extends across all of our business. From sourcing materials responsibly, creating new policies, carpooling on shoots, ethical banking and buying second hand equipment, we are implementing eco-conscious practices at every opportunity
We will be actively engaging with our suppliers and partners to share our commitment to become a deforestation-free champion . By fostering collaboration and promoting sustainable practices throughout our supply chain, we aim to amplify our impact and drive positive change on a larger scale.

A deforestation free business has done all it can to remove tropical deforestation from its supply chains. This means looking at the forest-risk commodities it buys, whether as raw ingredients or processed foods, products such as furniture, paper and cardboard, or services, such as catering. It means working with suppliers and adopting ethical sourcing practices as much as possible. It also means taking steps to reduce consumption and waste, e.g. adopting the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle hierarchy.

A deforestation free business will be a champion for tropical forests and inspire others along the way.
